In January 17th 2006, the Sciences, Technology and Environment Department of Pará State, granted Mineração Buritirama with the License for installation of its manganese alloys project in Marabá Industrial District, close to the mine operated by the company.
Following the integration strategy between Mining and Siderurgy processes (iron alloys producing plants), studies for the implementation of a plant to produce 100.000 ty of Manganese Alloys are in their final stage.
