He has been a member of the Administration Board of Cia Metalurgica Barbara, Cia Paraíbuna de Metais and Azevedo & Travassos S/A. He is Vice President of Honor of the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture (MUBE), Counselor of the Art Museum of Sao Paulo (MASP) and the Equestrian Society Paulista (SHP). Is Founding President of the Associação Brasileira de Criadores do Cavalo Andaluz-Brasileiro (ABCAB – Brazilian Association of Horse Breeders).
Mining Engineer by Escola de Minas de Ouro Preto in 1975 and specialist in Economic Engineering. He was active at MBR - Minerações Brasileiras Reunidas S/A, from 1976 to 1978 as Head of the Production Department at the Jangada mine and a Production Engineer at the Águas Claras mine. At Samarco Mineração S/A, located at Mariana in the state of Minas Gerais, he was manager of the Production Division from 1979 to 1984. At Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, from 1984 to 1996, he held the following positions: General Manager and Superintendent of Mining Department for the Carajás Mines; Superintendent of the Carajás Railroad; Superintendent of the Cauê, Conceição and Timbopeba Mines. Director of the Paranapanema S.A. group from 1996 to 2003, he was in charge of tin operations at the Paranapanema group as Director of Taboca S/A, Mamoré e Metalurgia Ltda., PINC - Paranapanema Inc. (USA) and Ebesa - Empresa Brasileira de Estanho S/A. Since February 2004 he has been the Managing Superintendent of Mineração Buritirama S/A, in charge of setting up the manganese mines, export logistics and marketing. He was elected a member of the Board of Directors in December 2001.

Joined Mamoré Mineração e Metalurgia (a mining company of Paranapanema Group) as a Trainee from 1999 till 2001, and Contrutora Bratke Collet from 2003 till 2005. He worked in the treasure, trading, and mergers and acquisitions areas at Banco Fator from 2006 to 2007. In 2008 assumed the Finance Directory of Mineração Buritirama S/A. He was elected alternate member of the Board of Directors of Sao Paulo Alpargatas S/A in 2006 , member of the Board of Directors of Mineração Buritirama S/A in 2007 and alternate member of the Audit Committee of Paranapanema Group. He is the Diirector of J.D.O. do Brasil Empreendimentos e Participações Ltda and of São Paulo Guanabara Enterprises. He's also a Team Member of Bonsucex Holding.

Worked for Mineração Taboca S/A (Grupo Paranapanema) from 1989 to 2005. As a Jr Engineer, he developed many different activities from production to assembly processes. He left the company as a General Manager of the Pitinga Mine. At Mineração Buritirama S/A since May 2005 as Operation Director, he’s responsible for the Marabá County Manganese Mine operation, Pará State.

Worked as Auditor, Administrator, and Controller for Minerações Brasileiras Reuninas S/A – MBR, São Bento Mineração S/A, Cerâmica Safran S/A, Cia Minas da Passagem, and Mineração Taboca S/A. Worked also as a Director for the COOPITINGA – Cooperativa de Consumo dos Empregados da Mineração Taboca S/A, and as a Teacher at the Newton Paiva University. In the Administration and Controlling Areas, his focus has been the Societary, Strategic, Finance and Tributary Planning.
Chemical Engineer with specialization in Economics Engineering with 27-year experience in the Chemical-Metallurgical Area. Long experience also in the Operation and Development of New Processes and Products Areas and in the Projects Management, Star Up, and Operation. Worked for Mamoré Mineração e Metalurgia Ltda (Paranapanema Group) from 1981 and 2004, where he started his career as a Jr Engineer, implementing the Metal-Chemical Research and Development Sector for the full use of the mining generated materials potential, working in many different areas and positions, implementing and managing pyro and hydrometallurgical units. He left the company as Development Manager to join Mineração Buritirama S/A in February, 2004, where he’s been working as Technical Manager, responsible for the development and implementation of processes to optimize Buritirama’s Manganese Mining Operation in activitities such as Commercialization, Transportation, Shipment, Technical Assistance, and Quality Control.
